Second Summit Retreats provides transformative experiences that address the emotional, social, and psychological challenges survivors face. Your generosity funds scholarships and helps us to keep these important retreats available to women who are ready to grow beyond their diagnosis. Every retreat is made possible by compassionate volunteers who believe in the healing power of nature, community, and shared experience.

Whether you're lending a hand behind the scenes or supporting participants throughout the weekend, you'll help create a space where courage, connection, and hope can flourish. If you're looking for a meaningful way to give back, we'd be honored to welcome you to our volunteer community.

Once you have been accepted as a Second Summit Retreats volunteer, please complete and sign our Volunteer Waiver & Agreement Form.

There are many ways you can help.

  • Skilled Outdoor Leaders to provide water sports instruction on flat water (kayaking/canoeing/paddle boarding); certified outdoor wilderness guides (hiking/snowshoeing); certified outdoor adventure educators and nature guides.

  • Skilled Expressive and Healing Arts Providers: certified Yoga, Tai Chi/QiGong, Reiki, Massage providers; artists/crafters.

  • Retreat Volunteers to assist/co-lead sessions; welcome and support retreat participants.

  • Administrative Task Assistant to help with Second Summit Retreats administrative, development and marketing tasks.

  • Facebook/Social Media Administrator to keep alumnae engaged and get the word out about Second Summit Retreats

  • Second Summit Retreat Ambassadors to help us get the word out to women with breast cancer that we are here for them, by phone, Facebook, e-mail and your contacts. Distribute our brochures to breast cancer support groups and individuals.
